attachments is here. for me, TOAPAYOH POLYCLINIC HERE I COME. upon reaching the polyclinic at 745am in the morning on monday, we discovered a very incredible thingy: toapayoh polyclinic is flooded with water. due to what reason? THE DAMN WATER TANK BURSTS, resulting in the WHOLE polyclinic flooded with water. individual rooms have water seeping in from the ceiling, especially the 3rd level. help is needed to get the water out of the place as soon as possible so that the polyclinic can resume operation. spent our whole morning helping to clear the water and the whole afternoon drying client's case sheets using the toilets' hand dryers, FILE BY FILE, STACK BY STACK. the Ladies are quite limited, so we gotta resort to using the Gents. doctors, visitors, patients and the security guy were all shocked to see nurses in Gents, thinking that they were in the wrong toilet. dint do anything the whole day, orientation wasnt possible, roster cant be carried out.

finally at around 11+, we get to settle ourselves down at the DFS (Diabetic Foot Screening) room before moving off for lunch. we were fooling around with the machines and certain equipments without the nurse in the room. pretty chaotic.

roster was only implemented yesterday. get to go to WSC (Women's Screening Clinic) room. got to see how PAP Smear is done, pretty interesting. 3 cases of abnormalities and 1 normal one. seeing it in reality is so different from seeing it on photos and video learning. moved on to immunization room next door, where many have their immunizations taken, especially KIDS and BABIES! simply so-very-extremely-super-duper cute! participated in weight and length taking for the babies today, the eyes that they give when being put on the scale, innocent-faced which can make you go "awww..." immunizations were given to babies and lil kids at certain age, when being jabbed, pain of course they cried. their cries really can make one feel pitiful for them, but those jabs are also for their own good? =/


get to go to Developmental Assessment room too, where older little kids and certain age babies are being assessed for their developmental stage. little kids talking to you about their experience and cartoons, very interesting and cute. cant think of any other words other than CUTE for the whole experience!


my chinese and hokkien is getting from BAD to WORSE. that's kinda sad. i need those for communication. i need to learn them BACK! what an idiot i am. my english? DEPROVING I SUPPOSED. gosh, my language. grrr...
